Dr. Athalia Molokomme has been appointed as a non-executive board member of the Botswana Insurance Holdings (BIHL) Group effective from 5 March 2025.
A lawyer, judge, and diplomat, Molokomme is currently Botswana's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva.
She also served as Attorney General of Botswana (2005–2016), making her the first woman to hold the position. Before that, she was a High Court judge and a key figure in legal and gender rights advocacy in Botswana.
"The Board is confident that her extensive experience in navigating complex legal landscapes and providing strategic counsel will be invaluable to the Board," BIHL said.
