Continuing the trend of Botswana-listed banks who are expecting profit bumps is Absa, which has also signalled to shareholders that it is anticipating a boost in profitability compared to the previous financial year.
According to a statement from the bank, profit before tax is expected to be higher by between 20 - 30 percent, (approximately P166 million to P249 million) than that reported for the year ended 31 December 2023, which amounted to P831 million.
Absa will release the full results on 27 March.
