Tema was first appointed to the Board on September 26, 2018, and has served as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He has also served as a member of the Board Audit Committee and the board Risk Management and Compliance Committee, and, prior to his appointment as Chairman, he was Chairman of the Board Credit and Finance Committee.
Tema’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Botswana and a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby, UK. He has also served on the boards of numerous entities including FNBB Insurance Agency, FNBB Pension Fund, and Botswana Post.
He has also held leadership positions, including as Coverage Director at Rand Merchant Bank Botswana.
