The National Assembly has introduced a platform called "Botswana Speaks" which allows constituents to engage with their members of parliament directly and partake in parliamentary proceedings.
In this edition of Decoder, we look at how to use the platform including registration and submitting an issue to your MP.
Registration
1.Go to https://botswanaspeaks.gov.bw/ to access the registration portal
2.Click on "Register" and proceed to provide your mobile number
3. After providing your phone number, you will receive a one time pin (OTP). Enter the pin on the provided field and proceed
4. Proceed with registration by providing your details on the provided form
5. After completing your registration, you will be presented with a screen showing your MP and number of cases submitted
How To Submit a Case
6. Go to your cases page and click on "Submit an issue"
7. Fill details about your case and submit
8. Your case has now been submitted to your MP
