Ogone Mothooagae Appointed As BD&IH Board Chairperson

Ogone Mothooagae has been appointed as the new head of Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub (BD&IH) effective from 1 October 2024.

Mothooagae is the founder and CEO of technology services company Stencil Technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Software Engineering from the University of Manchester.

His previous positions include as managing director of Adapt IT Group, which is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

He currently serves as an independent non-executive director at Access Bank Botswana and has previously served on the boards of Botswana Stock Exchange and Botswana Railways.

"Mr Mothooagae has extensive experience in driving organisational transformation through technology-driven solutions," BD&IH said. Under his guidance, we are confident that BDIH will continue to uphold its commitment to fostering innovations that drive our nation forward and, in the process, transform Botswana into a knowledge-based economy."
