Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) has appointed Abel Bogatsu as the telco's interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Bogatsu replaces Boitumelo Paya, who was promoted to acting CEO after the abrupt exit of former managing director Anthony Masunga.
Bogatsu is currently the General Manager of Finance overseeing the business's operations and management of all financial systems and processes. This includes treasury, budgeting, credit and financial control, working to ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards.
He also provides professional finance input into creating and maintaining the BTC Business Strategy to deliver sustainable shareholder value.
Bogatsu has more than 28 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Botswana and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Botswana Institute of Accountants (BICA). He is an Alumnus of the University of Stellenbosch Business School Executive Development Programme.
