Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub has partnered with Pegasus Tech Ventures to bring innovators in Botswana the largest global pitch competition dubbed the Startup World Cup. Applicants stand a chance to participate in the grand finale and win $1 million in grand prize.
Applications for this competition will be accepted from the 6 August 2024 until 31 August 2024.
Ten (10) finalists will be selected for a pitch session. The winner of the pitch session will travel to San Francisco to participate in the grand finale and stand a chance to the $1M.
The Startup World Cup is a renowned global conference and competition that brings together top startups, VCs, entrepreneurs, and world-class tech CEOs. Regional competitions have been organised in over 50 regions across North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia. This year, for the first time, the Startup World Cup regional finals will take place in
Botswana therefore don't miss a chance to participate.
Participating startups must have an entity and connection with Botswana, that can be verified (e.g., founders should be from Botswana, and the company should also be registered in Botswana).

The top 10 applicants will be selected and announced on the 12th September 2024 for a pitching contest.
The final winner will be announced after the pitching contest on the 17th September 2024.
The winner will stand a chance to travel to San Francisco in October for the grand finale.
