How To Do KYC On The FNB App

First National Bank Botswana (FNB Botswana) now allows the Know Your Customer (KYC) process that enables customers to update their details to be done on the FNB App. 

“We understand that our customers' time is valuable, which is why we have streamlined the KYC process and made it more innovative to make it as convenient as possible. Customers can easily complete their KYC updates through the FNB App, ensuring a quick and hassle-free experience as we strive to fulfil our commitment to them as a customer-centric bank, that puts their needs first,” said FNB Botswana Director of Marketing and Communications, Ms Peo Porogo.

KYC compliance presents numerous benefits to FNB Botswana customers, including enhanced security to protect accounts against identity theft and unauthorised transactions, uninterrupted services ensuring full access to all banking services, personalised offers tailored to their specific needs, and regulatory assurance that FNB Botswana complies with all legal and regulatory standards.

Individual clients are required to submit:

1.        Certified copy of Omang (citizens)/ Passport (non-citizens) and work and/or residence permits.

2.        Proof of income (e.g. payslip).

3.        Proof of residence (e.g. utility bill, letter from tribal authorities).

Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are required to submit:

1.        Company secretarial documents.

2.        Identity documents (e.g. Omang/ passport) of shareholders and/or signatories.

3.        Proof of income.

4.        Proof of residence for shareholders and/or signatories.

5.        Proof of tax registration or tax clearance certificate.
