Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) has suspended Stockbrokers Botswana from executing clients' orders on the bourse, citing non-compliance with the BSE's rules. The suspension is effective from 1 July and will be for three months.
In a statement, the BSE stated that at the end of the three months, it will review the suspension and communicate a course of action.
"The BSE shall monitor SBB's operations closely to ensure that SBB operates within the provisions of this suspension and of all the applicable BSE rules," the exchange said in a statement.
It is currently unclear which rules SBB broke.
SBB is one of three licensed brokers in Botswana, the other two being Motswedi Securities and Imara.
