Botswana Digital Innovation Hub (BDIH) has partnered with Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) to present the Medical Inventory Management System Hackathon. This was announced at the BDIH Innovation Day Botswana 2023, by Innovation and Digital Strategy Manager, Bobby Nthutang.
This hackathon calls for innovators to present solutions for healthcare service providers, and make a positive impact on the medical service industry as a whole. The requirements are for participants to work in teams of 2-4 members, with at least 1 member being female. The first place winner will win a grand prize of P30,000 and the commercialisation of their innovation, while the second place prize will win P20,000 and the second runner-up will win P15,000.
The top 3 prizes will also win LTE 10Mbps Prepaid for 12 months, 6 months and 3 months for first place, second place and second runner-up, respectively. The top 10 teams will also get the chance to participate in a 6-month training and incubation programme.
Registration is open until the 30th of October, and the hackathon will be running until the 6th of November 2023.
