Decoder: How To Tranfer Money From Bank Account To Orange Money In Botswana

The Orange Money Card2wallet service allows any registered Orange customer to transfer money from their bank account using their bank card to any Orange Money wallet. This article explains how to use the service.

Overview of service

Orange customers can simply transfer money from any banks account to any Orange Money account. You just need to be an Orange subscriber with a bank account.

1. To use this service, you have to be an Orange customer with a registered Orange sim card.
2. The service can be accessed online through your mobile phone or laptop
3. You have to register yourself first to use the service by singing up on the Card2Wallet portal
4. The unique identifiers for this service are your registered Orange number and email address which will be used for all communication even when transacting
5. You can transfer money from any bank in Botswana
6. You can transfer money to any Orange Money account
7. The minimum transaction amount is P10.00
8. The maximum transaction amount is P9500.00

Registering for the service

On the Orange Botswana website, click on ‘Orange Online’

Click on ‘Sign up’

Mandatory fields to be entered during registration:

1. First name
2. Surname
3. Mobile number which is your registered Orange number *Note, you will receive all confirmations and notifications on this number
4. Email address *Note, you will receive all confirmations and notifications on this number
5. Occupation
6. Create and confirm your own password

After completing the mandatory fields, you will receive a OTP (One Time Pin) on your phone.

1. Enter the OTP
2. You will be sent a confirmation email to your email address to very your email address
3. Verify your email address by clicking on the link on the confirmation email
4. Registration would have been completed.

Transferring through the Card2Wallet service

Transferring money from your bank account to an Orange Money account using the Card2wallet service is very easy.

1. On the Orange Botswana website, click on ‘Orange Online’
2. After signing up to use the service, click on ‘Login’

• Click on ‘OM Card-To-Wallet’
• Enter the following details:

1. Orange Money account to transfer money to
2. Amount
3. Source of funds
4. Purpose of funds

• Click ‘Proceed’
• On the confirmation pop up with the order summary, click ‘Proceed’
• The order summary will reflect:

1. Transaction amount
2. Transaction fee

• Click on the Visa/MasterCard sign
• Enter your card number
• Enter your full name
• Enter your band expiry date - format (MM/YY)
• Enter the card CVV
• Enter your email address
• Enter your physical address
• Enter your City
• You will receive an OTP (One Time Pin) on your mobile phone
• Enter the OTP to confirm transaction
• Transfer complete, you will receive an SMS notification
