The Botswana Fintech Association has voted in a new leadership team at the body's annual general meeting held on Friday 25 August. The leadership team comprises an executive committee and technical assistance committees.
Commenting on the incoming leadership, the association's board stated that much gratitude goes tot the outgoing team and much focus goes to the work the new leadership will turn over.
"Special gratitude goes to the outgoing Exco team for work done throughout this interim phase. We’ve garnered great support and pledges of support from the local and international Fintech community," said Steven Adom, member of the outgoing exco and board member.
"The highlight of our tenure has been receiving an invitation from the Governor to serve on the newly established *National Fintech Working Group* after much lobbying for stronger collaboration among key stakeholders."
