Late last week, several people shared on social media emails which purported to be from the Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) and inviting them to click on a link to a "Payment". LEA has since come out to warn the public against the emails and labelled them as a phishing scam.
According to LEA, the emails, which appear to be sent from LEA's domain, do not represent the organisation and they have taken the requisite measures to tighten their security controls.
LEA further advised customers to delete the emails and refrain from clicking on any link on the email body.
