Local accelerator Ngwana Africa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabia-based research and development (R&D) lab Sustainable Innovations for a startup-focused partnership to support startups building hardware that requires hardware R&D.
The partnership will assist startups with product development, commercialization and tech development labs for building minimum viable products (MVPs).
Speaking on the partnership, Mooketsi Bennedict Tekere, Chief of Startups at Ngwana Africa, mentioned that "This partnership is meant to connect African innovators with the opportunities in the MENA region through Saudi Arabia. In Saudi Arabia, execution is worshipped and Sustainable Innovations is a very good example of that execution we need in Africa".
Startups which are working on innovations that require R&D specialists and are based in southern and East Africa can apply for the register for consideration here.
