Vantage Properties, a local prop-tech startup, has today announced the closing of a P480 000 angel investment funding round from Angel Network Botswana, a network of business angels who invest their personal funds into growth-oriented businesses and startups.
According to Sethebe Manake, Founder and CEO of Vantage Properties, the funding will allow them to grow and capture the property market valuation market. Sethebe also mentioned that the partnership that will come with this investment will allow them access to resources, expertise, and networks that they can leverage from.
The investment will be used to roll out more features and improve GoSmartValue, Vantage Properties' online property valuation platform. GoSmartValue gives users the choice to automatically value their property or instruct a qualified and registered valuer to carry out a detailed valuation. It also provides various market research reports covering various locations around the country that help guide real estate decision-making. The platform has valuers from panels of the country's top financiers including ABSA, FNB, Standard Bank, Stanbic Bank, and Bank Gaborone.
Ananth Ram, Chairperson of Angel Network Botswana, stated that they are excited to be a part of Vantage Properties' growth story and mentioned that Sethebe and Vantage Properties team have managed to leverage technology to create real value in the real estate industry in Botswana and soon, beyond our borders— a hint at Vantage Properties' expansion ambitions.
